The categories in which we publish are: Health, Self-help, Nursing and Medicine.We publish across the range of common health conditions, as well as covering some uncommon ones. We aim to have the definitive book in each category. Some conditions, like asthma, affect 5 million people in the UK alone, whereas perhaps only 5000 people have Motor Neurone Disease at any one time.
Class Health's raison d'être is to give people back control over their lives by presenting medically sound and practical information in plain English and in a positive way.
Our Answers at your Fingertips series uses a question-and-answer format. We go to great trouble to research and garner genuine questions from the target audience, demanding that our authors address these questions in a practical, positive and medically accurate way.

Though we see ourselves as fiercely independent, we do have close links with a number of patient-support and advocacy charities, who feel that our books are helpful to their members. Some links are more formal than others: The National Kidney Federation, for example, recommends four of our titles of importance to their membership and these selected books carry this recommendation.
AWARDS
Our books have received 14 awards from the BMA Medical Books Awards, including a win in the category of Public Understanding of Science for COPD: Answers at your fingertips in 2006, and a first prize for Acne: Answers at your fingertips in the Popular Medicine category. We have also won the Richard Asher Award, the Age Concern Book of the Year Award and the Royal Society of Medicine prize for 'Best Medical Book for the General Reader' for Type 1 Diabetes in children, adolescents and young adults.MANUSCRIPTS
We are always keen to hear from individuals, librarians and from booksellers.
