About the author

Abraham Lieberman, MD, an internationally recognised expert on Parkinson disease and is the author of six books on the topic, including Shaking Up Parkinson Disease: Fighting Like a Tiger, Thinking Like a Fox (2002).  He is board certified in neurology and psychiatry, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Neurological Association, and the Movement Disorder Society.  Dr. Lieberman is National Medical Director of the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) and Professor of Neurology at the University of Miami. His widely popular manual on Parkinson Disease has been translated into five languages, with more than one million copies distributed worldwide.  Dr. Lieberman's interactive Web site, www.parkinson.org, answering questions about Parkinson disease, is viewed by more than 10,000 people with PD each day.
